Biography

María Emilia Mernes Rueda (born; October 29, 1996) known as Emilia Mernes or Emilia is an Argentina singer, songwriter, model, actress, and author. She became known for being part of the band Rombai. In 2019 signed with label Sony Music Latin and management company WK Entertainment represented by Walter Kolm. She was one of the songwriters of Lele Pons's single "Bloqueo.

Emilia's fast, furious and fresh tracks rocket to a cool urban beat as Latin music's newest rising star. Emilia's devotion to music began when she was just 12-years-old: creating melodies, strumming her guitar, singing and dancing became her passions.

In 2018, the Argentinean-born recording artist signed with WK Entertainment, home of superstar acts such as Maluma, CNCO, Carlos Vives, and Wisin, among other worldwide voices. Starting to materialize her dreams, she also landed a record deal with Sony Music Latin which marked the beginning of a new chapter for her music as a solo act.

Since then, Emilia has catapulted to new heights, releasing her debut single "Recalienta" in March of 2019 which generated more than 15 million views on YouTube.

An article in Billboard magazine further highlighted her talents woke a great curiosity in North America. She continues to innovate partnering with artists like Ana Mena, Nio Garcia, Sebastian Yatra, Darell, Camilo, and has expanded her talents leaving her footmark as a composer - exemplified in the hit single "Bloqueo" interpreted by Lele Pons and Fuego.

Emilia continues to capture the attention of many around the world with hot singles "Billion", "Policia" and "Boomshakalaka". Now, she prepares to take the stage of one of the renowned festivals worldwide, Lollapalooza Argentina 2020 on March 29 where she will share the stage with Guns N' Roses, Lana Del Rey, Pabllo Vittar, and Gage The Elephant, among others.
