Biography

Benin musician Fanicko, real names Adjanohoun Fanick Olivier was born on 12 July, 1992 in Cotonou Benin to a merchant father and a beautician-hairdresser mother.

He took his first steps on the scene as an electro music dancer and was then called Piikachu. A few years later, he decided to get into music and created Jerusalem Clan, a rap group he formed with Ade, Hugo, Junior and Massizo.

In 2013, he began his solo career with a first single titled Le Gateau which enjoyed some success. He then joined the Self Made Men label of his mentor rapper Mister Blaaz and chained the singles.

The success of the titles "How are we going to do it" and "Tu faire trop la bouche" allowed him to establish himself in Benin and to make himself known in several French-speaking African countries.

Since then, Benin artist Fanickoholds whoholds a degree in Human Resources Management has toured so man coutries, performed on so many stages and built a name to his career amongst French speaking communities.
