Tina Arena, AM, is an iconic Australian singer-songwriter, record producer, actress and performing artist. Voted Australia’s greatest female singer of all time, her powerful voice remains unparalleled after 40 years in the industry.

Tina Arena’s remarkable career began in 1974 as a contestant on Australia’s beloved TV variety show Young Talent Time. Tiny Tina with the big voice quickly became a fan favourite and holds the record for being YTT’s longest serving cast member. Tina’s time on YTT saw her hone her craft and blossom into one of the world’s most consummate performers.

A career paved with extraordinary achievements and highlights – Tina is the only Australian artist to have gold or platinum album releases in every decade since the 1970s. Tina’s second studio album Don’t Ask, sold over 2 million copies worldwide and reached a record 10 x platinum in Australia. This history making album won Tina both song and album of the year at the Australian Record Industry Awards in 1995. An absolute first for an Australian female artist.

A passionate supporter of the arts and the importance of arts education, Tina is also the first Australian to be recognised for her significant artistic and cultural contributions at home and in France. Tina holds both a Knighthood of the French National Order of Merit and an Order of Australia – true testament to her tireless work facilitating meaningful cultural exchanges through art and music.

In November 2015, Tina was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Always a leader in her field, Tina purposefully used the opportunity to celebrate women in music. Her performance and subsequent speech highlighted the magic that can happen when women support and promote one another. Tina continues to use her voice to advocate for positive change within the arts industry and elegantly campaigns to protect the well-being of the musical collective.
