Faith Callender

Faith Callender

Biography

Barbados musician Faith Callender is a definite combination of beauty and brains. Making her debut on the local scene as the winner of the Banks’ Calendar Girl has propelled her toward not only local, but regional recognition as the face of the popular beer brand. However, the highly motivated creative was not content to be recognized just for her stunning physique.

Beneath that beautiful exterior burgeoned a love for making music. The singer admits that she fostered this love  from the time that she was a child. Even though her love for music was not shared by anyone else in her immediate family, they supported her whole-heartedly. As she pursued her tertiary education at the University of the West Indies, Faith continued to be drawn to the idea of producing her own music.

Soon she started working with Anderson ‘Mr. Blood’ Armstrong, the former frontman for the well- travelled Soca band, Square One, and there was no looking back since.

Since launching her music career in 2014, Faith has participated in some of Barbados’ premier soca competitions. Her appearances have seen her advance to the finals of both the Party Monarch and the Pic- O- De Crop Competition which features social commentary showing her range as an artiste.

Within recent months the performer, Faith, has rebranded herself changing the style of music she produces. Her most recent songs have a distinctly edgier feel and her fans are loving it! Her 2020 releases Don’t Break Yet and Werk have been blazing on the airwaves and her latest track to drop is the reggae-influenced Ten- Toes Down produced by Starpoint Productions.

Focussed on pushing her craft to the world market, she has released several music videos which has been attracting new fans to her social media platforms. Anticipation builds as we watch to see what this rising star will do next.
