Biography

Based in United States, K8 Kavuyo (real name William Muhire) is a Rwandan musician who was born and raised in Rwanda. He is also a songwriter and a performer signed to at Pressone Entertainment.

According to Uganda's Legendary DJ Erycom, K8 Kavuyo released his debut track in 2006. Shortly afterwards, he joined TFP, a prominent music label in Rwanda. While working with TFP, he recorded his breakout hit called ‘Rwandan Girl’.

The success of this song led to numerous collaborations and mega performances with top hip-hop and RnB artists in East Africa.


This was followed with the release of his debut album titled ‘Isaha Ya Munani’. In 2009, the album received the I.U. Radio Award for Best hip-hop Album. In n 2010, he and other artists left the country following an invitation by the Rwandan community living in Washington.

Other artists who joined him include Meddy, The Ben and Cedru. They have since remained in the U.S. where they are pursuing their music careers.

K8 Kavuyo has thousands of adoring fans in Rwanda who are captivated by the intensity of his live performances and charismatic stage presence.

In 2015, he released a song that was loved by Rwandans as it includes traditional music. In 2014, he made headlines when he got involved with former Miss Rwanda Grace Bahati. The two have a son
